Why do people refuse to share the names of songs they post on their blog? Personally, when I find an amazing song, I want to share it with everyone because, well, it gives me a sense of satisfaction knowing others are enjoying the same songs I do. Sharing the artist and song title goes beyond “liking” or “reblogging” it: it gives people the ability to research the song or artist in greater depth and discover similar songs, even if it isn’t by that specific artist. I suppose, technically, they are sharing and they’re not depriving anyone the right to listen to the song, but how many times have you heard a song that you really liked, but couldn’t figure out the name of the song ‘till this day? I honestly don’t understand the logic behind keeping artist and song names hidden; I find it almost selfish.
